Our Story: How One Dress for My Daughter Became Errian Design
Share
Errian Design started the way a lot of good things do — small, personal, and without a big plan.
I'm a figure skating mom. Before I was ever making dresses, I was in the stands at early morning practices and competitions, watching my daughter skate. I understand what a figure skater actually needs from a dress — not just how it looks standing still, but how it moves, breathes, and holds up through a program. Anyone who has lived that life knows the feeling: the season is already moving, and your skater needs a dress that fits now, not in eight weeks.
The first dress I made was for her. I wasn't setting out to start a business — I just wanted her to step onto the ice in something that fit her program, her personality, and her, without the wait that comes with custom tailoring.
That's really where the idea for Errian Design came from — instead of only offering made-to-order pieces, I started creating one-of-a-kind dresses that are ready to ship, each one already made, already finished, waiting for the right skater to find it.
We're still just getting started. Every dress in the shop is made with the same care I put into that very first one — because I know exactly what it means to need a dress to be ready, not eventually, but now.
